At Buckhorn State Park, there is always something to do. From camping, fishing, hunting to hiking. Buckhorn offers something for every outdoor enthusiast.

The friends group is dedicated to enhancing your experiences in the park. We offer bike, paddle-board, canoe and kayak rentals.

We want everybody to enjoy the park regardless of any physical barriers they may have. We offer an accessible cabin, beach wheel chair, as well as a trail mobility chair.

From organizing outdoor activities to concerts in the park, the friends group is working to make your stay truly remarkable.

Embark on a journey of discovery and adventure at Buckhorn State Park. Immerse yourself in the natural wonders that surround our park, from scenic hiking trails to serene fishing spots.

Come back in the winter too, snowshoes are available to rent at no charge. enjoy miles a beautiful trails.

Beat the heat, on Castle Rock Lake

Enjoy our beautiful beach, the friends group also offers paddle board rentals. We are in the process of upgrading our play ground area to the north of the beach, and are continually making improvements to make your stay more enjoyable, such as adding benches and swings to watch our amazing sunsets.
