Buckhorn State Park is a paradise for water enthusiasts, hunters, hikers, campers and nature lovers. The park and two adjacent state wildlife areas cover more than 8,000 acres on a peninsula in the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River. Family and group campsites, unique cart-in camping, a cabin for people with disabilities, canoe trail and an accessible fishing pier, are all available at the park.
Volunteer with Friends of Buckhorn State Park
Seeking motivated volunteers!
The friends group needs help from folks like you!
To ensure the park remains an unspoiled jewel of nature, the friends contribute our minds, muscle, and money toward upkeep and improvement projects. We partner with park staff to complete environmental and beautification projects, sponsor educational and recreational activities for park visitors, and raise funds to support special park needs.
We need you, for there is much to do. Many hands make light work!
Whether you can help a little or help a lot…
Whether you live far away or close by…
We need you.
The friends ask you to be involved. Thank you in advance!
